MGS V The Phantom Weirdness

Why?

Metal Gear : Sahelanthropus

What a long name! There's a meaning for it though. But like a lot of other people, i find the 'older' gears seem more advanced than the supposed newer gears in the timeline haha. :p Not sure who's making this model tho! Could be either Kotobukiya or 3A making it. :P

MGS V Collector's Edition unboxing!

Sooo.. Picked this up yesterday at Funz, was almost not released cos MDA was taking their time... Then again, maybe the submission was late.. :p

Anyway, the box LOOKS nice with that faux leather look with the yellow stitches...actually its just printed. The metal diamond dog keychain is pasted on the outside and looks well made.

The box itself kinda splits open to reveal.. THE HAND. Under that sits the game itself and a steelcase with a special edition video or whatnot. The DLC codes and map are in the game disc itself.

Other than that... Nothing much really? The hand is cool and all though, would make a nice desktop display haha!

Metal Gear Solid V

So, less than a week away from the launch of MGSV! I wonder how it'd do without Hideo Kojima... or is it all some weird elaborate scheme dreamed up by him? To make people think he's gone or something so that it somehow ties to the theme of the game? Maybe he went for a sex change operation? Who know? :p

Anyway, new launch trailer here! Admittedly the new Metal Gear looks... scary.Spoilers if you don't want to see what it looks like... and it's name too.... 0_o;

Snakeeee and mini snake!

Look like snake is finally hitting the Figma line; i didn't think the Revoltech line really did it much justice. Interesting to see how it'll turn out! Oh, there's gonna be a mini big head ver too!

Had a look at the video, pretty cool! Whats up with "Venom" Snake's "Horn" on the right of his forehead?

Snaaaakkkke! MGS Ground Zeroes

Looks like there's gonna be a few different bundles when the prelude to MGS V is launched as usual, wonder if there'll be a MGS V PS4 bundle? :) The premium pack looks like it'll come with a Kai Arts figure of snake, like the EU version of MG:Revengeance had a Raiden fig. Or how about one with a Puma Jacket? :)

 

MSGV - Be veryyyy Quiet..

Well, weather's pretty pretty crazy past two days, rains middle of the night to the next morning, quiet shiok actually, dowan to get up to go to work haha! AND it's been causing other 'ponding' issues and slow traffic... man, it took me over an HOUR to get to work on Thursday, something which normally  takes 15 mins! Crazy...

So, Kojima's got another hot babe model to be in his game... I think he really has a fetish for Euro models man. Although this one is kinda hot. :)

Happy 15th Birthday MGS!

Well well, it's been 15 years? OMG, I was a young lad back then in them good ol days when things were simpler! Yeah, the first time I saw MGS on those "OEM" disks, I was totally blown away, the production values then for a PS Game were totally amazing (although the graphics are antique by today's standard's, but it's not always about the graphics eh?)

 

So happy birthday Snake! Although you'll not be voiced by David Hayter, you'll always remain the epitome of the Silent stealth action hero with the super gruff voice! ;)

Revoltech Raiden

From Revengeance ( Is that even a word? It should be used more often though! ), looks cool, but revoltech stuff doesn't last cos of all the rubber they use in they're materials; the surface gets sticky after a while, and the whites slowly change color....

Snake?!?!?!

Haha, so Kiefer Sutherland will be playing the VA of Snake in MGSV?... Ummm... seems a bit hard to believe! Haha, but watch the video here, cool, but some scenes seem so 'forced' haha. I like the part where Avi Arad say's "I used to have a friend to played Snake...." ;)

MGS Legacy Collection

Coming out in June? That's pretty soon after the HD collection was released though! Man, they're milking it for all its worth! :p still, will wait and see what's different from other versions!

Worst kept secret ever! :p i think most people were already expecting a new MGS game haha, typical kojima humor there. Joakim morgen? come on! but that was funny. looks like a story that would take place after peace walker and before the mgs4 storyline, ocelot looks young. :)

ThreeA MG REX

Finally went to pick up my 3A MG Rex from TFH; had a 'preview' of how big the box was when it was brought in last month, so had to clear some space for it!

 

Box for Rex is almost as big as the whole mech itself! And that's in the squatting postion. It's about as big as my 4 month old girl haha! Detail on this is great, and the paint application is good too. Not taking it out yet for display as 1) i don't have the space to display this! 2) It's much too big for a normal cabinet!

 

Still, hope to put this up one day! :p

MGR Uniqlo Tees

Spotted these Tees at Uniqlo today, dun think they are as nice as the MGS ones... and Raiden still has a certain... Stigma, about him. :p

Looking forward to play Revengeance though, haven't gotten around to getting it yet!

The Phantom Pain? / AKA MGS 5?

Lot of rumors saying that this is a front for MGS V, after seeing the video, the protagonist sure looks like someone we know! Take a lookee...

Ready for... Revengeance?

Is there even such a word? :p  The next in the MGS series by the same guys who did Bayonetta and Vanquish.. which were pretty interesting games i guess, with a certain 'flair' to them. I feel MGS has always been grounded in current or in development weapons technology, no matter how outlandish the bosses may seem. MGR seems to be... a little bit harder to swallow. More like a sci-fi hack and slash now. :p

Well, should be interesting still! There's a premium edition, and a Japan exclusive PS3 SPECIAL EDITION premium edition which includes a white version of the upcoming Raiden fig from the Kai Arts Squenix series :
