Masterpiece Laser(Shock)wave!
This was out everywhere at csc last week; not too shabby! More plastic than metal though sighs. I wish the previous designer of the MP series would come back :( Upcoming releases are so-so. And those in demand are being released as limited editions.... Way to go takatomy. Lots of masterpiece dumping going on too, way cheap at csc!

Masterpiece Ironhide!
Finally opened up this piece, poor guy was languishing in the box far too long haha! Gotta say, its a pretty impressive piece! Way better than the G1 original release haha.
I was a bit concerned about the look actually; i found the torso kinda longish, and the kibble that sticks out at the hips could have been hidden away better (although there's a way to remove it manually). Would have been nice to have a double jointed elbow tho!

Still, a pretty solid build, the transformation is interesting and everything fits together nice n tight. :) Ironhide is also taller than the usual Masterpiece figure, but shorter than prime. Can't wait for Ratchet :D

Haul for the day!
Didn't expect these all to come out at the same time in dec; kinda surprised they made the shipment month actually. Red Bee and "Crampdown" are supposedly exclusives whereas Road Rage is under a regular release... The first 2 are just repainta tho, man they're milking the molds for all they're worth! At least rage has some unique parts!

Titan Wars!
So the next line from Hasbro looks to be Titan Wars? Think this was announced some time ago, so old news haha. They'll be making a Fortress Maximus figure using the Generations Metroplex mold... gonna be crazy big again.
Also, Hasbro had a poll recently, asking fans whether they wanted a Titan class Omega Supreme, Trypticon or Scorponok.
Looks like the Dino won. :)

Transformers Masterpiece MP-28 Hot Rod new pics!
Colored pics for Hot Rod! Ummm.. strange decision since the Rodimus prime figure could also change to Hot Rod... but then again, the Rodimus figure wasn't received too well and had issues with the legs. Still this version of Hot Rod, looks.. a bit misproportioned? Chest seems way too big, although the color is correct. As some people are saying, they're probably releasing this for the Movie Anniversary next year. :)

Maketoys NOT-Chromedome/Cupola
Weird choice of name, but then again, its to avoid getting sued i guess! Picked this up at the usual place and was pretty much looking forward to opening it up!
It's Masterpiece scaled, so it looks quite nice beside the others. There's been other headmasters from Fansproject, but this looks the better of the two in my opinion, as it looks closer to the animated version and lineart.
The quality and build are very good; the plastic doesn't have that cheap look 3P products tend to have, and the fit and joints are good. Paint apps are spot on and the details on the figure like vents and panel lines are screaming to be markered up haha.
Transformation is moderately easy; the parts have to line up, but will slot nicely into place most of the time. The chest has the headmaster stat gimmick printed on... Too bad they couldn't do the actual one like the classic toy. The headmaster figure is nicely detailed too with some basic articulation.
One minor complaint might be the poseability of the figure; due to the way the thighs are connected to the hip, plus the wheels there, the figure can't really raise his legs a full ninety degrees. Plus the fact that they used ratcheted joints means you can't really do fine adjustments, although that means the figure is pretty stable.
Still, the figure does look good overall and i look forward to future releases in this range! :)
