Maketoys NOT-Chromedome/Cupola

Weird choice of name, but then again, its to avoid getting sued i guess! Picked this up at the usual place and was pretty much looking forward to opening it up!

It's Masterpiece scaled, so it looks quite nice beside the others. There's been other headmasters from Fansproject, but this looks the better of the two in my opinion, as it looks closer to the animated version and lineart.

The quality and build are very good; the plastic doesn't have that cheap look 3P products tend to have, and the fit and joints are good. Paint apps are spot on and the details on the figure like vents and panel lines are screaming to be markered up haha.

Transformation is moderately easy; the parts have to line up, but will slot nicely into place most of the time. The chest has the headmaster stat gimmick printed on... Too bad they couldn't do the actual one like the classic toy. The headmaster figure is nicely detailed too with some basic articulation.

One minor complaint might be the poseability of the figure; due to the way the thighs are connected to the hip, plus the wheels there, the figure can't really raise his legs a full ninety degrees. Plus the fact that they used ratcheted joints means you can't really do fine adjustments, although that means the figure is pretty stable.

Still, the figure does look good overall and i look forward to future releases in this range! :)

Badcube (NOT) Warpath!

Wardog from the 3P company Badcube. Surprisingly kinda large! Haven't transformed him yet, but quality seems pretty good. :)

3P Hound!

I wonder why takatomy has not made a Masterpiece Hound or Jazz yet? Although rumors are they are releasing a Tracks and Ironhide this year.

3P company's TFC and Maketoys are coming out with Hound figures... though i think Maketoys one wins by a longshot... but that's just me. :)

Fansproject Warbot

With products like this, makes you wonder what takabro's doing man. The quality and finishing is excellent, with the moulding sharp and detailed. Parts fit smoothly and don't feel brittle. Packaging is great too! Bot pics lata!

There's also a 'powermaster' like figure included with pretty good articulation and detail too... Schweet... ;)

Maketoys Utopia NOT-Metroplex

Pretty interesting, to release a Metroplex after the Generations version. This one seems pretty small however? The detail is good though, and the alt modes are closer in a way to the original Metroplex.

3rd Party Snarl

I'm wondering why TakaTomy is not already in the midst of making/releasing more MP Dinobots? I think everyone would love to have some official dinobots in their hands!

This one is from a company called Gigapower... man, 3D printing has sure come a long way! :p

Fansproject NOT-Menasor

Looks good! Haha, he must have a very narrow view with those 2 large blocks beside his head though! Man, these 3rd party companies are really upping the game on releases that the fans want... why isn't Takatomy making any combiners I wonder? (Masterpiece ones of course!)

Fansproject Diesel (NOT Motormaster)

Looking good! Too bad it'll only be released next year in Jan... hey, it's just a coupla weeks away only! This will be my first combiner in a long time.... :p

Fansproject (NOT) Stunticons

Got a shipment in today and these guys were part of it! Wondering when they would arrive! It's Fansproject's 3rd and 4th vehicles, Downforce (Dragstrip) and Last Chance (Deadend). These two
guys form the arms of Menasor, so 1 more to go!

The sculpting and paintjob is pretty good, quality of the plastic feels ok too.

Have not transformed them into their car modes yet, so can't comment on that feature!

TFC Toys Uranos

Not too shabby! I know the main body (NOT silverbolt) has been getting a lot of flak, but the combined form does look good. :)

3rd Party TF NOT-Shockwave... Quakewave!

Ok ok, the 'NOT' thing is kinda annoying, we already know who the figure is supposed to represent! :p Picked this up yest at TFH, too hard to resist! It's about Masterpiece scale, pretty hefty with die-cast parts, and has a light up eye and gun, though i have not put in the batteries yet!

I tell ya, these 3rd party manufacturer's are really giving takatomy a run for their money! :) Yes, it does transform into that giant space gun, although i have not tried it. :p

Fansproject TBone

Hmmm.. can't help but think of steak when i hear that name! This is a 3rd party release of a NOT-stunticon T-Bone (Wildrider), the quality's pretty good and the poseability is excellent! Honestly speaking, i wish they would do a MP class combiner of this quality or better, as i mentioned before, i think the 3rd party guys are really beating TakaTomy at their own game.

There's another 3 more bots to collect before NOT-Menasor can be formed... thank goodness, gives me time to save up for it too!

Fansproject NOT-Menasor!

A better piccie was released a while ago of the combined form for NOT Menasor, gotta say, pretty darn impressive!

I don't really want to start collecting 3rd party stuff; a lot of them don't actually look that much better, and the quality is always questionable. But the sculpt for this kinda impressed me ( well, more than the NOT Superion one anyway, look at how it turned out? ) so i preordered the two legs first. Haha, luckily they're released slowly anyway!

Also, had a chance to take a look at the 3rd party Shockwave (Quakewave) at TFH, looks good and the quality is pretty fine! Scaled up to the TF Masterpiece series too! TFH also had MakeToys Yellow Giant, which is a yellow version of Devastator... Looks awesome, but i have heard about QC issues on that.

For the new menasor, hope they have a slightly bigger head when it's released! This one seems too teeny!
