Soon...

Uncharted 4 Demo

Ok this was some time back, must have missed it! But dayum, looks impressive! More Nathan Drake adventures is always good. :)

September!

Oh gawd, how time flies! It's one of the signs when the end of the year is around the corner when the F1 night race is about 3 weeks away, and STGCC is next weekend haha! Come to think of it, there's only 16 weeks till the end of 2015... man, it has come and gone too fast. :p

3D Printed Mars Rover

Dayum, NASA has released the model to print the 3D Mars Curiosity Rover! Another reason to get a 3D printer haha! Looks awesome :

Three Zero 1/6 Fallout 4 Brotherhood of Steel

Whoa, unexpected yet cool! Still, a bit cautious as their 1/6 figs have had a history of QC issues, case in point their Master Chief figure, and also limited poseability. Guess they haven't mastered the art of human scale like HT yet! :p

MAKS 2015

So MAK 2015 was held on the 27th of August at Zhukovsky airfield... man, gotta say Russian jets are actually pretty awesome, notwithstanding how they seem to require more maintenance and seem to be made of metal sheets riveted together haha! But really, some of their designs seem way ahead of their time.

Apparently for 2015 they brought out the MiG 1.44? The one that was supposed to have a plasma generated invisibility field instead of regular stealth? So awesome. I'm beginning to lose track of how Sukhoi numbers their jets though, so many variants!

Revoltech X-wing

Hmmm.. so got my revoltech X-wing! It's made of hard plastic thank gawd, not that rubbery stuff they're usually made of. The paint job is pretty ok, not overdone, so i guess the user can dirty it up a bit more if they wanted. :) Surface detail is good with panel lines throughout.

Two of the lasers were bent out of the box though, and the same stripy ones... factory fault? Anyway, nothing some hot water can't fix! The S-foils open and close, the engines are on ball joints so the angle can be adjusted. The canopy just pops off though, no hinge! The Artoo unit is nice... but the pilot is gawd awful... just look at him! :( There is landing gear too but it has to be swapped out.

Not a bad toy overall, not the best out there i guess? But better than that diecast series and some of what hasbro puts out. For the price they could have given more accessories like the ladder to the cockpit, or the pilot transport vehicle... guess most of it went to the license fee?  I'd give this a 7/10. I'm being generous here cos i like the X-wing in most forms generally! :D
