Uncharted 3

The Uncharted series has always been a great blend of action and good storytelling, the last two in the franchise were stellar and were a real blast to play through! Unlike the Tomb Raider series, which sort of imploded on itself by coming out with too many too fast, the Uncharted series has a good pace, and believable characters to boot, not to mention the lore behind all the mysteries in the game!

So come November, we can prepare ourselves to be in the shoes of our favorite anti-hero Nathan again, and i hope this round is as good or better than the last two! There'll be a collector's edition as pictured above, i bet the Asian collector's ed will be crap as it usually is. :P

LEGO Hoth Base

Coming soon! More Star Wars Lego to make your wallet cry! :) Ok, at least this one looks more substantial than the ominously numbered Lego 7666, I guess this is the interior to the exterior of 7666?

One thing i noticed though, a lot of reused pieces from other sets out there, but luke in the Bacta tank is still cool nonetheless.

Bigger pic below!

The JEDI!

Haha! This is a must watch! Well, if i had jedi powers perhaps i'll
do that too. ;)

Also catch part two here!

Laser Beeeaaaaaammmmmmm!

Was at some 'convention' last week and spotted this old dude selling Laser pointers and such ( he also sold the china brand dyson bladeless fans ) had quite a few interesting items, but the one that fascinated me the most was his XXmw laser pointer..... man, was it bright!

So i went online to XX and managed to get one from XX, actually it's not as expensive as he claims; there are some XXmW ones that are pretty cheap! But i dare not try my luck on those.

Anyway this ain't yer regular pointer, the light at the point of contact is INTENSE. My eyes are still kinda stinging from looking at it still actually. Maybe one of these nights i'll go outside to test it, wonder if the ISS can see the beam! :p

AR Parrot Drone

Man, gotta get myself one of these soon, the AR Parrot Drone from Parrot (Which is actually a French company more famous for their Bluetooth devices) is a quad-rotor RC heli controlled through the iPhone4 or iPad!

It has two camera's, one forward facing and on downward facing, according to Parrot's site : " Thanks to its many sensors, the AR.Drone can maintain stable flight at a height of up to 6 meters / 20 feet. Since the altitude at which the AR.Drone can fly depends exclusively on the Wi-Fi range, it can fly up to a height of 50 meters / 160 feet. The "Altitude limited" option in the AR.Drone's settings can be adjusted to restrict the height to 3 meters / 10 feet. "

It even appears in the game Homefront as a militarised surveillance version! :) Imagine the uses for the drone, neighbour surveillance, or how about mounting a 100mW laser or two on it for crowd control! The possibilities are ENDLESS! ;)

LEGO Moulding Machine

I wonder what it'd feel like to be one of only 68 people in the world to own this set from LEGO? :)

LEGO in Denmark, Buillund, holds guided tours of their factory annually, of course, there is a fee to pay, but you get to stay in a fancy hotel, get to speak with the designers and of course, see their secret vault where every LEGO set ever made is kept.

One of the highlights is a limited set specially created for the occasion, which in this case, is the Moulding machine! It's one of the cooler premiums i've seen. Apparently those who get the set have to sign an agreement not to sell the set for profit.

Rasslin' News

Wrestling has lost another great in "Macho Man" Randy Savage. What's the other thing that's great about the 80's? It produced some of the most well-known and well loved characters ever from the then World Wrestling Federation. Names like Hulk Hogan, Macho Man, The British Bulldog and more.

Of course we knew it was all staged, but the characters were larger than life and we all loved them for the antics they were involved in. The wrestlers back them revelled in the attention they recieved and lived up to their over-the-top reputation and personas.

Sadly, a great many wrestlers battled inner demons and other problems to get to where they were; most died of heart attacks or substance abuse. It is sad to see to many memorable chraracters go this way.

Well, RIP Macho man! You will be missed, and have another go at the big ring in the sky! Oooooh yeeeeaaahhhh! :)
