Cremation

Today was the last day for the funeral, at Mandai crematorium, it went by.... kinda fast i think! Maybe cos it was a public holiday, so they zipped him along the line into the incinerator pretty darn quick, faster than i remembered than my grandma i think!

Also, just picked up the ashes, man, there was a whole pile of bones, ddn't expect there to be so many. An they like, squished it into the urn!

Well, it's been a tiring few days, but as the priest mentioned, it definately brought the whole family together.

  1. Yeah man - in an odd way, funerals do sort of bring people together... also, im not sure who controls the speed of the thingy that brings the coffin to the 'final point' but the speed is not uniform.. sometimes i see its fast.. other times i see it's slow... i thought it's fully automated ? And somehow or rather I can't really rub out the memories of Mandai Crematorium.. its a peaceful place but yet it's very stark and unforgettable... i still remember seeing a portion of wall that had an indentation like someone punched it in... very emotional place I guess.
