COD : Ghosts Redux

Ok, Yes, COD Ghosts sucks. The guy they're trying to push as the main baddy doesn't even look threatening, just looks like some old American guy... gosh, most boring villain ever.

And the ending.... OMG... even MW2's ending wasn't so bad. BLOPS2 even had better writing.... well it leaves a door open for a sequel definitely. So Ghosts 2 will let you what, control 2 dogs? And the dog thing is overrated.. what you see in those trailers is about how much you'll interact with the dog in the game. I really wonder how some websites review their games nowadays... most probably paid off by the developers.

 

Bleah. I think COD for me was at it's peak at the first MW.... even BLOPS was cheesy fun. Everything after that is just a generic shooter.

 

6/10.. just for some generic shooter on rails parts which were ok. I'm being pretty generous here!

COD : Ghosts

Hmmmm, just started playing COD : Ghosts, and am into the later half of the game already.... and man, is the COD series getting worse or what? Seriously, if I didn't read about it, I wouldn't have known a lot of the scenes are recycled from the previous COD games.... I was playing the underwater level last night... when I realized it was set out the exact same way as Black Ops II was! Even with the stupid sonar ping thing and all! OMG.....

 

Anyway, the game is pretty clichéd already, and the storytelling is weak. It's like, you know, the developers know they can stuff this poor quality drivel down people's throat every year.. and people still lap it up.... gosh, the state of games nowadays... GTAV is pure literature compared to this haha!

 

Hey, an idea! How about an open world COD? First dibs! I should get royalties! :p

Oh Sazabi, why do you instill such gunpla lust in me? Even though I try so hard to shy away from you? More importantly, why are your arms still so ridiculously longish? :p

 

Battlefield 4 - Single Player Campaign impressions.

So just had the time to complete the SP mode of BF4... and lordy me, it's even worse than BF3, i'll say that straight off the bat. At least BF3 had a focused story line from point A to B, linear yes, but at least easy to follow. Play BF4, and you'll see that story jumping back and forth, and time skipping for no reason... ok, so maybe there's a novel out there which covers all the loose ends, but it's just jarring in the game.

 

There's also our favorite Russian there, placed there for no reason other than a plot device to get the player out of jail? Why was he even there in the first place? OMG... Also, too much focus on the 'Irish' guy, he got irritating after a while, too emo and whiny for a MARSOC guy. (Actually, who ARE these guys? Not Tier 1 for sure)

 

Well, at least the graphics are nice. The game crashed on me only twice during SP, so I should count myself lucky!

Monday!

Woo! 1 month to X'mas! Was over at RWS at the weekend, stayed over at Hard Rock Hotel which wasn't too shabby. Man, that place is a MESS. Definitely catered to 'other' people if you get my drift... Eeeewwww.... fun to walk around a bit, but this ain't the Sentosa I grew up knowing; it's now a fetid playground for the rich with all the homes and clubs coming around that place. No privacy too anymore since any joker can pay and drive into the place. Sad how far the place has dropped! :p
