For a moment i tot HT released the fig.... Looks quite ok actually, i think this company made a 1/6 Venom Snake figure too?

Oh Konami..

It's such a love/hate relationship... yeah, MGS V was kinda enjoyable even though it's unfinished... and well, it's doubtful we'll ever see the resolution of the storyline. Well, at least till the planets align and Kojima takes over Konami that is. And they're focusing a bitttt too much on the FOB thing.. i guess that and the addtional skins are the only things they can work on now since the storyline is at a standstill?

Wow, long rant. Not over yet. The latest 1.06 patch has come out.. and it seems Konami has ACTUALLY been listening to players. At a certain point in the game, you lose a certain buddy (although there is a way to prevent this), but it seems in the 1.06 patch they've made a way of getting the buddy back in... sighs, and when i really wanted to dislike Konami. I mean, they've even placed a cryptic picture in their FB page with the patch updates, with no explanation.

Time to get that buddy back. ;)

So i was sneaking around in MGS V, the South Africa map to be exact. (Well, actually crawling) and came across a familiar tune coming from one of the huts.... why, it was True by Spandau Ballet! Kinda surreal hearing that in game, and of course, i swiped the tape hehe. Another point for Kojima on this. :p

Ohhh, so it's a Kotobukiya kit! Not bad! Their REX kit wasn't too bad either. Gotta admit this one is rather intimidating in game.. the portion when it starts chasing you.. oh gawd... spine chilling and nerver wracking! 0_o; I guess ThreeA will release this too in toy form eventually. :p

Snake?

So there's a plethora of MGS V products out suddenly ( although i'm looking more to what HT can offer!). Here's a fixed pose statue of Venom/Punished/Whatever snake is being called now... comes with the chicken hat too! You can activate the chicken hat in game, but i think it penalises your overall rating?

MGS V Collector's Edition unboxing!

Sooo.. Picked this up yesterday at Funz, was almost not released cos MDA was taking their time... Then again, maybe the submission was late.. :p

Anyway, the box LOOKS nice with that faux leather look with the yellow stitches...actually its just printed. The metal diamond dog keychain is pasted on the outside and looks well made.

The box itself kinda splits open to reveal.. THE HAND. Under that sits the game itself and a steelcase with a special edition video or whatnot. The DLC codes and map are in the game disc itself.

Other than that... Nothing much really? The hand is cool and all though, would make a nice desktop display haha!

MGS V Japanese Premium Version

Soooo... What would i do with a replica prosthetic hand? I was thinking of placing it on my workdesk, but prob won't get through the checkpoint. :p

I wonder what the EU collectors edition will be like?

UPDATE : The Japanese Edition is available for preorder on the JP sonystyle store. About 33,000 yen or about SGD380 before shipping. Ouch!

MGS V : The Phantom Pain Collectors Edition

So, the date has (finally) been announced! September 1st is the day we can find out if Quiet IS really Chico! Woo!

Anyways, the usual collector sets have been announced... Hmmm... what could i do with a full scale replica of Snakes Robot hand (In the Japanese Premium version)? The possibilities... the half scale would be slightly less creepy i guess? The in-game REX helmet is sure to inspire fear in all enemies! All it needs is to be able to launch a nuke! :p
