1/72 TIE Interceptor

This is a recast of the original Argonauts kit; and not a very good one at that, lots of flash to clean off the resin parts and some improperly cast/missing parts dammit. Still, it does look ok at least, the details are sharp, but it'll take some work to get it right.

B-wing completed!

Done and done! Feels good, this like, completes something i've left hanging soooo long ago; i've had this kit before, but never had the opportunity to make it look nice. This model is about... 75-80% accurate to the studio model? Lots of missing details and parts, plus some size/scaling problems. But for such an old kit, i think it's.. acceptable haha.

Darn, my table is getting messy. :p

Playstation VR - Oct 2016

Interesting! Launching this October at US$399, gawd look at all those cables. Hopefully there'll be a special Ace Combat 7 bundle for this hehe. Apparently you'd still need to purchase the PS Cam AND the PS Move Controllers.. so the adoption costs will be kinda high.

Honestly, when i first saw it, my first thoughts were "Huh? Halo?" Dayum the armor looks too much of the same. They should make it grittier. Still, the scenes where you can become the demons/monsters looks cool tho!

B-wing build Part 3

Got some progress on some parts; replaced the large canon at the wingtip with metal tubing, and reshaped the chin area; planning on replacing all the guns with metal tubing. Actually the area there is a mess; hopefully when Bandai comes out with their version it'll be more accurate hahaha

Busy sanding and stuff, so much to do :( working on the cockpit still; gonna redo the chin mounted guns and also the wingtip guns.

IT Show 2016!

So i went to kaypoh a bit haha, didn't enjoy the crowds much, but at least there were more IT relevant things. Credit card companies still hounding the place though, annoying. Surprisingly, Sony had quite a large presence with their Camera and Playstation booths!

Bwing build start!

Wow, painful haha! All the sanding and stuff... Forgot how tedious that was! The MPC Bwing is a weird scale, according to the web, its measured to be 1/94 scale.... So this pilot below is reallly teeny haha. Well, at least it LOOKS like a pilot! The Awing pilot is.... CMI haha!

MPC B-wing Fighter

Well, it'll be a while before Bandai makes a B-wing (maybe year end?) so picked this up in the meantime. Classic kit man, very few parts, but lots of seams to fill, and the fit and moulding is not exactly great.... But for a kit thats over 20 yrs old... Its not THAT bad haha

Whew! Finished this over the weekend, interesting kit to say the least, bit more involved compared to the TIEs. :) R2 is tiny as hell man, 1cm i think haha

Finishing soon i hope haha, colors added to the fuselage, haven't added a coat yet to tie the colors together and tone down the look. Some bits like the nosecone and rear almost ready. Dayum this is a long build. :p

Woo! Bandai 1/72 A-wing model kit

Well i'll be! Best news all day, Bandai will be releasing the A-wing fighter in May for 2400 yen. 1/72 will make it a wee small, but nice to have it in scale with the other kits. Apparently it come with the Death Star's turbolaser turrets, should make for a nice diorama.

Xwing Build Pt 6

Wings mostly done now, finally am able to join the mid and bottom half of the fuselage. You can see how weird Bandai's way of making the body is, parts everywhere! I think its the same on the 1/48 version too.
