Xwing Build Pt 5

Got some work done on the wings; engines, some masking again, and the wingtip lasers. Dirtied up the engines a weee bit more, thought they look better that way. :)

Pity those kids who are born on this day! I had a friend during my Army days who was born on such a day, so he's 1/4 of his age? Haha... i don't see how an extra day helps anyway, delays payday by one day.. :p

Quite relaxing i guess just doing this on weekends, wish the day was longer, seems to go by so fast! Now on the pre-shading and some detailing before fitting the wings together!

1/72 Bandai X-wing build

Kinda slow on this, cos compared to the TIEs, there are so many more parts.. And some weird decision to seperate the colors too, making the fuselage kinda gappy. Still, good details on the kit if a bit overengineered.

Awesome, the box art itself is worth the price of the purchase already :D The parts count looks crazy though. Don't mind the thumb. :p

Rainy rainy day!

Man, it's been raining since early this morning... And has not stopped since! And it was sweltering yesterday. Crazy weather! I bet theres a drought or something somewhere opposite the globe now.

TIE Advanced done!

Finally completed! Whew. Now a break before starting on a Rebel ship. :p So 2/10 models done for 2016 haha.

Transformers Titan Wars Fortress Maximus!

Interesting i guess? I miss the simple lines and contours of the old designs. At least we still have the Masterpiece series for that haha. Fort Max looks a bit... busy haha. Also, looks like everyones back to being a headmaster again. :p

Dragon 1/35 Snowspeeder & AT-ST

Cool! I think this is the biggest model kit to be produced? Nice in a way seeing Dragon going big while Bandai seems to want to make the tiny stuff. :p The 1/35 AT-AT is crazy tho. :p

Masterpiece Ironhide!

Finally opened up this piece, poor guy was languishing in the box far too long haha! Gotta say, its a pretty impressive piece! Way better than the G1 original release haha.

I was a bit concerned about the look actually; i found the torso kinda longish, and the kibble that sticks out at the hips could have been hidden away better (although there's a way to remove it manually). Would have been nice to have a double jointed elbow tho!

Still, a pretty solid build, the transformation is interesting and everything fits together nice n tight. :) Ironhide is also taller than the usual Masterpiece figure, but shorter than prime. Can't wait for Ratchet :D

Going ok so far, interior and vader painted along with bits here n there. Pretty straightforward whew. Need to air the place, the fumes!

Advanced this time haha, cos, leftover paint, so why not? Did tweak the primary color though, wonder how it'll turn out. :p

I wonder why they are going tiny with the kits like dragon? I know Japan has a space shortage... but this.. haha.... It's kinda like the F-Toys one i guess?
