Too much D3!

OMG, it's been a while since i last posted, end of may already? Well, another 7 more months till bye bye to this year! A bit too eary yes. :)

Think i've been playing a bit too much Diablo 3! Well, at least the server goes down off and on to give us poor guys a rest and some quality family time too! :)

Diablo 3!

Just a couple of hours till we're able to play D3!.... Well, not me yet anyway. Was supposed to collect my preorder from a local shop, didn't expect HALF OF SINGAPORE to order from them too! The queue was crazy, it basically stretched TWICE across the whole floor... and no one knew where the queue started!

More rants! Wanted to build a new rig too, and tag it with a new Gfx card that was just released.. APPARENTLY Gfx cards are like, collectible items too, cos people buy multiples for god knows why.. plus the blardy retailers at SLS are like "oh sorry, i don't have that card anymore.. only for new system builds..." PUHLEASE....

Ok, feels good to rant! Which is what this blog is all about! :D

Shanghai - Day 4

Day 4 was Sunday, mostly spent preparing the office for the next day's opening. By then the office was mostly spick and span, but heck if the vendor didn't take his time patching the comms rack!

Dinner!

The cafeteria was closed on Sunday, so we wandered to a nearby eatery for nom nom. Nice nom nom actually. They had great noodles, buns and side dishes! After that it was back to office again. Think we stayed kinda late that night. Only knocked off about 11pm. :p

Shanghai - Day 3

On day 3 after work, we went to Lujiazui to look-see their financial/shoppping district. Decided to be a bit more adventurous, so took their MRT there... cheap! Only 4 RMB and pretty fast, bout a 20min ride. :) Their train system is definately as good as ours, at least their signboards indicate the exact time the train is arriving, and the 2nd and 3rd train timings too. Not generic timings like here... :p

Once you step out of the station, the first thing that catches your eye is the Oriental Pearl TV Tower.... really beautiful in the night. Lotsa people taking photos of it. Next time i must go up the tower to the observation deck!

Went to one of the malls (Super Mall) to look for dinner, mostly expensive branded stuff, there's a Lotus at the basement selling groceries, as i mentioned, they close early here! So had to do with whatever eatery we could find. :p

Shanghai Trip - Day 2

Headed to the old office at The Bund Center to check on the progress of the packing, place is definately more central and has more amentities than the new office; there's a Starbucks (A REAL one) and a Family Mart downstairs. From there we followed a vendor in his beat up toyota to the new office.

It was 7+ by time we left office, pretty 'late' by time we decided to go out. Walked around the area and eventually headed back to the "Ri Yue Guang" mall to have dinner! It was a udon shop which sold various alacarte tempura fried items, and it's pretty good! Too bad the shop was closing already. On that note, the shops here close darn early! By 9pm+ they're already starting to pack up. :P

Shanghai - Day 1

Day one in Shanghai! Here for  a work trip  to help the new office with their shifting. :) Staying at Pullman hotel, which is pretty close to the new office. Weather's nice and cool, like permanent airconditioning outside! A tee and a jacket were ok for the first day. Shanghai's pretty much modern and cosmopolitan like Singapore. One things for sure, the traffic heres about as bad, and the drivers honk their horns ALL the time! Oh, and cars have the unofficial right of way! ;p
