TIE build continued 2....

Whew, ok, got over the priming and most of the painting, had a hard time getting the colors right; apparently TIEs are supposed to have a bluish tinge, but in ANH they made it greyer due to the use of blue-screen tech back in the days... Well, i'm just following their paint intructions anyway :p also decided to airbrush on the details instead of decals for some parts. Just took a bit more time due to the masking!

Quite a pain to get the masks on for the front window; at least the Fine Molds version has the masks provided by them! Plus 1 for them haha!

Looks like the mags have a pic of the prototype Masterpiece Optimus Primal... never was a big fan of the Beast Wars series (I still prefer my bots as vehicles haha), but the storyline was well-written and the toyline had some pretty amazing figures admittedly. :)

So i got off my a$$ and started on the Bandai TIE fighter, gotta say, details are good and all, typical Bandai quality, i guess its the best you can get on the market currently. However, it looks like it was designed in a way to be more beginner friendly too? Not that its a bad thing, just more options available and some cost savings on their end i guess? Hopefully can get more progress in on this haha.

Man, i love this particular type of playground! Made of concrete and metal... I vaguely remember ang mo kio used to have one like this? Hate the sand though, always smelled like pee, and sometimes theres 'gold' to be found! :p

Hot Toys TFA Stormtrooper Squad Leader

Nice piece to say the least, the detail is very good as usual, and nice use of a magnet to hold the pistol to the thigh. But as whats been said on the web about the FO stormtroopers hold true; they aren't very poseable at all! Apparently this is due to the inner suit that HT decided to use on these guys to pad them up to get a screen accurate look. So unless you're ok with a more static pose, i guess we'll have to wait for a v2 of the stormie for better articulation.

Macross Delta Impressions

So, the preview of the first episode was actually on the last day of 2015, big tease for the official release in April 2016.

It's listed as episode 0.89... Well, as the preview doesn't even have a proper ending haha. As far as the story goes, it does have a magical girls + jets vibe haha, but these girls are far from helpless, and are actually singing for a reason. The good guy bots are from Delta squadron, and there is 1 pilot assigned to each girl. The songs these girls sing neagates the "vars syndrome" (causes people to run amok) which seems to be the reason they were

formed in the first place.

As for the good guys and bad guys mechs, so far we see the latest valkyrie, the VF-31 Siegfried in all 3 forms. The baddies have the Draken III, which has not transformed yet, but is shown to carry two drones on the wingtips.

The songs are catchy gotta admit :) looking forward to the series and the eventual toys that come along haha!

D-day!

As in, back to work after a long break! It's always the worst, and i bet the monday blues will be most pronounced tomorrow :p

Anyway, no choice but to think positive, and hope for better opportunities or that i win the lottery haha! :)
