DAMn, looks cool that PKP... i think this is the first decent mass produced version? Anyway, this comes on a wave of Russian Troop releases. :) I wonder when these 1/6 companies will go back and redo some awesome WWII ones?

Axis & Allies Miniatures!

Gosh forgot they had these! Wizards of the Coast released these back in 2005-2006? I remember getting some base sets and boosters. They had tanks, infantry and such in these and subsequent releases. The details on the vehicles and figures were hit or miss though. Still, quite acceptable haha!

Hamley's Toy Shop

So a new Toy shop has opened at Plaza Sing! Its been a while since SG had a shop dedicated to selling toys only; i remember the good ol' days of Kids World and Inkids... Ahhhh....

Anyway, Hamley's is a UK based shop which used to be call Noah's Ark or something. Honestly the selection is pretty... Poor. The floor space is too small and the selection weak. There's no differentiator from other dept store toy sections seriously... Although it's interesting that they so sell some board game stuff. :p

Remains to be seen how they do, but at the moment they seem kinda out of touch with what kids want today and the selection of toys they have.

MP-21G Bumblebee G2 ver

Got a chance to open this, first impressions are that the gold coloring ain't too bad! I was expecting it to be more garish somehow but it turned out quite pleasant looking!

Transformation is simple; well thought out like the first bee... It is the same thing anyway :p

There's a flight pack included with this release, and two other faces to swap with the supplied face. My only complaint  would be the logo on the chest... Its a sticker darnnit. You'd think they can at least print that on the toy. They do include a sticker sheet with 4 different logos so i guess they're giving us a 'choice'...

Hot damn, some cool stuff coming out, they're finally releasing the Mark XL "Shotgun" iron man fig, not a repaint (mostly) woo! The 1/6 Millenium Falcon cockpit looks insane... only for those with a lot of space haha! But what's crazier is the 1/6 TIE Fighter! WTH.... :p

VF-19 Advanced!

Got this delivered finally haha, box was bigger than expected! Prob cos of the FAST packs. This version of the VF-19 appeared in the second Macross Frontier movie... for all of 2 secconds. Well, that's Bandai for you! :p First impressions hmmm.. the color is nicer than the Arcadia version i feel, it has a matte surface and whereas the plastic for the Arcadia version is slightly lighter in tone.

Out of the box, fighter mode looks great, especially with all the tampo printing! The arcadia one has very very little, so booooo for that. However, the fighter mode is a bit ''gappy" compared to the Arcadia version. Proportions seems ok to me for both though!

Transformation is moderately difficult, cos of some tight joints and lots of little flaps here and there, but not impossible, and the instructions were pretty clear. One thing that bugged me though was the neck flap that was a swappable part.... wonder why it couldn't be integrated into the design, since it's part of the shield?

In Gerwalk and bot modes, there are tabs to lock everything in place, so no floppiness! Also, tight joints! So it's a double edged sword haha.

Amazing how far we've come from the first YF-19 released by Yamato in 2000... 15 years ago... wow. :p Since then we've had many versions and variants by Bandai, Yamato/Arcadia, but i think they've finally perfected the design. :)
